How do I log a meal?

Type what you ate into the chat bar — for example, "2 eggs and toast with butter." Nomva's AI will parse the foods, match them to our database, and log the nutrition automatically.

Can I scan barcodes?

Yes. Tap the barcode icon next to the chat input to open the scanner. Nomva checks its built-in local food database directly on your device.

How do I change my calorie and macro goals?

Go to Settings > Goals. You can set custom targets or let Nomva suggest values based on your profile and activity level.

Does Nomva work with Garmin?

Yes. Connect your Garmin account in Settings to have your active calories automatically adjust your daily calorie target.

Is my data private?

Your food logs stay on your device (and your private iCloud if sync is enabled). Apple Health reads stay on-device as well. Garmin activity syncs through Nomva Cloud so the app can receive daily summaries, and AI chat and meal parsing also pass through Nomva's server and then to our AI provider so those features can work. How do I restore my purchase?

Go to Settings > Membership and tap "Restore Purchases." This will re-activate any previous Nomva Pro subscription tied to your Apple ID.

How do I export my data?

Go to Settings > Backup & Export. You can export a CSV report for your coach or a full JSON backup of all your data.
