Food data sources and license
Nomva's bundled food catalog combines USDA FoodData Central data with product data from Open Food Facts and its contributors. Some USDA records include barcode, brand, or serving fields filled from Open Food Facts. The complete combined database is offered under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. To the extent we hold separate rights in individual database contents, we offer those rights under the Database Contents License (DbCL) 1.0. These licenses cover the food database, not Nomva's app code or artwork or third-party product marks.
USDA FoodData Central provided the USDA reference and branded foods. Its data is public domain in the United States.

Barcodes not found in the bundled catalog may be looked up directly through Open Food Facts. Food labels and nutrition values can change or be incomplete. Check current packaging; Nomva cannot verify allergy safety or give medical advice.
